Energy Industry Converges in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas, June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Facility Solutions Group (FSG), one of the nation's leading Lighting/Electrical/Energy Corporations, announced today a successful energy summit that brought together industry leaders that included: large energy-users, consultants, academia, industry authors, energy risk experts, and manufacturing partners.

The summit was held at Barton Creek Resort.  The goal of the summit was to undress the energy industry and help the energy/sustainability managers develop an energy plan. The featured case study speaker was Menno Enters of Walgreens.  Menno stated, "The Walgreens enterprise project rollout is the world's largest energy lab." 

Patrick Davis, FSG Energy Director, spoke about the process of selecting an enterprise partner and contractual ways to accomplish it: "The installation is only the starting point."  "The interaction between the peers was very refreshing," according to Jim Sinopoli with Smart Buildings. All of the attendees surveyed indicated they would want to attend the 2013 Summit, which will be held next April.
