Longer drone flights, full-shift humanoid robots, lighter and faster race cars, and data centers that don't burden the grid.
IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Engineers building drones, humanoid robots, race cars, data center power systems, and electric aircraft want more energy in less weight and space, plus the power to use it. Enevate Technologies today introduced Trifecta, a licensable cell technology designed so they no longer have to choose between energy density, power, and cycle life.
Battery engineers live by an unwritten rule: energy, power, or cycle life, pick two. At the cutting edge, they often get just one, paying for it with oversized packs, shorter missions, and lost payload.
Trifecta designs match or exceed the energy density of leading lithium-metal and solid-state cells without their usual safety and charge-rate problems, and long-life configurations reach 1,000 cycles.
"Engineers have spent years designing around their batteries," said Benjamin Park, CEO of Enevate Technologies. "Trifecta flips that. We want to have open conversations about how our technology can change how you design things."
Trifecta comes in five modeled configurations:
Configuration | Energy density | Rate (C) | Cycle life (cycles) | Example |
Trifecta Surge | 400 | 40 | 500 | Racing, data |
Trifecta Prime | 425 | 20 | 1,000 | Humanoid robots, |
Trifecta Sprint | 480 | 20 | 20–50 | High-power, |
Trifecta | 475 | 1 | 1,000 | Long-life |
Trifecta Range | 545 | 1 | 20–50 | Long-endurance |
Figures are for modeled designs that build on a successful proof of concept with earlier prototype cells.
Enevate Technologies works with each customer to match or tailor a configuration, then helps get cells built by a licensee, through a custom build, or by the customer's existing supplier.
Battery manufacturers interested in licensing Trifecta to produce cells for their own customers are invited to reach out.
