The Los Angeles-based company first rolled out its employee perk program four years ago with the purpose of promoting a sustainable environment throughout the organization as well as making a positive impact on all of its employees.
One of its programs is known as the Employee Courtesy Car that grants all factory and office employees who are having transportation difficulties access to a Toyota Prius hybrid vehicle. "It can be stressful for employees when their own vehicle is getting repaired or when they are unable to get transportation to work. I want to create programs that relieve some of their worry while maintaining eco-friendly," said Chris Laudadio, President and CEO.
Many employees have already benefited from this program and are pleased to have a back-up transportation method available to them, should they ever need one. "I like knowing that if my personal car breaks down and I don't have transportation to get to work, I can use the Employee Courtesy Car for a few days. It's wonderful that Versa Products offers this to us as employees," said Ryan Dressler, Engineer at Versa Products, who commutes two hours each day to the L.A. company.
