EnPro Industries Announces Acquisition of High Performance Seal Manufacturer
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- EnPro Industries (NYSE: NPO) today announced that it has acquired Technetics Corporation, a leading manufacturer of abradable seals, brush seals and acoustic products for turbines used in aerospace and power generation applications. The transaction was completed for cash; terms were not disclosed.

Technetics' Feltmetal® and brush seals are approved by major aircraft engine manufacturers and have been specified for use on the Airbus A380 superjumbo passenger jet and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The company is based in Deland, Florida and employs about 20 people. It joins Garlock's High Performance Seals Group, which includes Garlock Helicoflex in Columbia, SC; Garlock France operations in Saint Etienne and Montbrison, France; and the recently acquired Wide Range Corporation in the United Kingdom.
