Enterprise Telematics Enables Fleet Optimization

ST. LOUIS, July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Enterprise Fleet Management is partnering with Geotab to enhance its fleet management services for business customers. By partnering with Geotab, Enterprise is able to integrate GPS tracking technology into its Enterprise Telematics fleet monitoring solution.

Enterprise Telematics is a web-based application that helps businesses manage their fleet operations in real time to optimize fleet use, routing, logistics, engine diagnostics and safety. Enabled by a small device equipped into each fleet vehicle, the application captures diagnostic and location data whenever the vehicle is in use. Through the new partnership with Geotab, Enterprise Telematics can be customized with options such as dispatching or a driver ID check-in mechanism, as well as the ability to integrate with a business' existing fleet management software.

To improve driver safety, the application can provide driver feedback via audible alerts when certain parameters are crossed, such as driving too fast or braking too hard. Enterprise Telematics also reads engine information to proactively monitor potential engine shortfalls.
