PROVO, Utah, Aug. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MultiLing, a translation services provider specializing in intellectual property (IP) and technical materials translations for multi-national enterprises, today moved into its new headquarters. Located on two floors of the newly constructed Zions Bank Financial Center at 180 N. University Ave., Suite 600, in Provo, Utah, this new office helps MultiLing accommodate the company's recent growth – largely due to an upsurge in IP translations - and planned growth in 2012 and beyond.
As of this summer, 70 percent of the company's business comes from IP translations, with some enterprises paying as much as $4 million a year strictly on this MultiLing service. The ability to translate patents in 80-plus languages with speed and accuracy is helping some of MultiLing's largest global customers increase their IP filings by as much as 200 percent, with no increase in cost. This factor provides MultiLing's customers with a keen strategic advantage in their global expansion. In addition, it helps drive the accuracy and excellence of the translation services MultiLing provides to all enterprises and companies, regardless of size.
"Translation and localization enables global commerce," said Michael Sneddon, president and CEO, MultiLing. "Without the localization of critical information, products and services cannot be transported and delivered. As a company, MultiLing works everyday to define and to drive best practices for this localization process through our centralized translation model. As a result, we have grown staffing by 124 percent from 2006 to 2012, and we expect the company will continue growing at an even faster pace in 2012 and beyond."
MultiLing's new location has more than 50 percent additional space and higher usability of the available square footage than its former facility, where MultiLing employees occupied the third floor of the nearby Wells Fargo building. The company is planning for a significant number of new hires during 2012 and 2013.
Founded in 1988, MultiLing specializes in translating for the patent, IT, chemical, medical technology, biotechnology and automotive industries. Current clients include multi-national enterprises such as Dell, Procter & Gamble, Siemens, TYCO, Munchener Ruck, LSI Corporation and Promise Technology.
