Envisioneering Announces Top ShowStoppers @ CES 2015 Innovation & Design Award Winners
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- After six weeks of careful deliberation by five judges in North America and Europe, industry research firm Envisioneering today tapped 31 upstart entrepreneurs and industry leading companies breaking new ground in technologies for work, home and play.
Envisioneering judges voted winners of the Innovation & Design Awards from companies that launched new products during ShowStoppers®, the product showcase event for journalists at the International Consumer Electronics Show taking place in Las Vegas, NV.
The 41 winning products ranged from a self-driven flying drone to an Android tablet hosting a 50 inch video projector, to biometric and voice print ID tools, to augmented reality glasses, to a sewing and embroidery system that can be guided with a pen design or used to copy a scanned sample pattern in cloth. The majority are shipping now or very soon.
"Most of these products excel in their category or categories," said Richard Doherty, Envisoneering's Research Director and lead Judge. "Many exhibitors actually out-engineer themselves, before any competitors might attempt to replicate a similar product."
Award candidates were judged for innovation, design and style in 26 categories of social benefit ranging from advanced audio and video delivery technologies to health and wellness to energy efficiency.
