ePointZero to Acquire Majority Stake in Pan-African Power Platform, Azura Power Holdings Limited

The transaction marks ePointZero's entry into African power generation through a proven operating platform with immediate scale, resilient cash flows, and experienced management.

Acquisition provides Azura Power, a 752 MW pan-African independent power producer, with a committed partner and long-term capital to accelerate its growth pipeline and play a larger role in addressing the continent's power deficit.

ABU DHABI, UAE, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ePointZero, a global platform focused on specialized energy infrastructure and a subsidiary of 2PointZero Group, will acquire a 90% stake in Azura Power Holdings Limited ("Azura Power"), an established pan-African independent power producer (IPP).

Azura Power has over 750MW of operating capacity and a growth pipeline of over 1.5GW which could more than double the platform's operational capacity in the coming years. It operates critical power generation assets across Nigeria, Senegal and Mozambique, where it generates around 10% of each country's grid baseload power.

Under the transaction terms, ePointZero has partnered with Amaya Capital to establish an acquisition vehicle, through which ePointZero will acquire the respective ownership stakes of Actis and Africa50. Amaya Capital, Azura Power's founding partner, will retain a minority interest of 10%, underscoring its continued confidence in the future growth of the platform it founded in 2010. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
