The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that about one in three Americans over 65 will suffer a fall in a given year, making it the leading cause of accidental death among senior citizens. However, a compelling case is made for installation of a proper medical alert service by The New England Journal of Medicine, which reports that 90 percent of seniors who are helped up from a fall within one hour continue to live independently.
