Equitas Health Statement On Ohio's Six-Week Abortion Ban

This basic right should not be criminalized, but that is exactly what Ohio's General Assembly has done with its recent passage of the six-week abortion ban, Senate Bill 23.

Despite supporters' claims, bans like Senate Bill 23 will never decrease, nor have they ever decreased, the need for abortions. Instead, they criminalize physicians providing medical care and force people into dangerous, sometimes life-threatening situations.
