KENSINGTON, Md., Jan. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Equivio, a provider of analytical solutions for e‑discovery, announced today that its near-duplicates and email threads technology has been integrated within kCura's review platform, Relativity. Approved by kCura's technical team as a Relativity Ecosystem Application, the new integration enables users to launch and manage Equivio's processing from an integrated tab within the standard Relativity GUI. The new integration makes Equivio's best-of-breed analytics more accessible and easier to operate for Relativity users. Subsequent versions of the integration will also support Equivio>Relevance, Equivio's predictive coding technology for assessing document relevance.
The integrated solution features a unified GUI and seamless data flows, making it easy for Relativity users to take full advantage of Equivio's near-duplicate and email thread groupings without leaving the Relativity review environment. Unlike plug-in integrations that toggle between two applications, this core-level integration provides access to all Equivio functionality and data from within Relativity, creating a straightforward, intuitive user experience.
This tight integration provides users with several key advantages:
- Unified GUI – With Equivio fully embedded within Relativity, users can remain within the comfort zone of the Relativity "look and feel", ensuring a familiar user experience while minimizing the learning curve.
- Seamless processing flow – Equivio directly accesses and updates the Relativity database to create an efficient and seamless workflow that simplifies data handling, saves time and reduces the risk of errors.
- Simple to implement – Automated installation and tight integration ensure straightforward setup and implementation of the Equivio tab and functionality.
"We've always seen Relativity as a platform, and strive to provide our users and great third-party software providers, like Equivio, with ways to integrate their software with ours," said Andrew Sieja, president and CEO of kCura. "We are excited about what Equivio has done, making their near-duplicate and email thread technology accessible from within Relativity. It brings best-in-breed technologies together in a seamless, all-in-one experience, which is a valuable thing for our collective users."
The integration of Equivio technology expedites the management and review of large document repositories. The grouping of near-duplicates and email threads allows similar documents to be handled and treated together, enabling Relativity users to reduce the time and cost of document review, while diminishing the risk of error by ensuring the consistent treatment of similar documents.
"We are delighted to be a premier partner in the Relativity Ecosystem," said Amir Milo, CEO of Equivio. "The openness of Relativity's APIs is a key factor in all of this. By rendering Relativity 'Equivio-ready,' kCura and Equivio are able to offer an enhanced user experience to our shared customer base, a compelling cross-section of the world's leading corporations and law firms."
