Eugene Song Joins Union Square Advisors to Lead Secondaries and GP Solutions Practice

Song brings 26+ years of private equity and corporate finance experience, with deep expertise in GP-led secondaries

NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Union Square Advisors, a technology-focused investment bank, today announced that Eugene Song has joined the firm as Managing Director and Head of Secondaries and GP Solutions. In this role, Song will lead Union Square Advisors' Secondaries and GP Solutions practice, reporting directly to Mike Meyer, CEO and Head of Capital Solutions.

Song brings both an investor and GP perspective to continuation vehicles, direct secondaries and other GP solutions, further strengthening Union Square Advisors' capabilities in the secondaries market and complementing the firm's longstanding M&A and capital solutions advisory expertise. Over his 26+ years of industry experience, Song has developed deep experience in growth equity, middle-market and secondaries investing across technology and other growth industries.

Prior to joining Union Square Advisors, Song co-founded and served as Managing Partner at Madison Bay Capital Partners, a private equity investment firm focused on growth equity and secondaries investing. There, he led structured capital and continuation vehicle transactions and worked with GPs, LPs and private company management teams on liquidity solutions, secondaries transactions and capital formation. Earlier in his career, Song held investment and senior roles at AXA Investment Managers (W Capital Partners) and Stone Point Capital. Song began his career at Lehman Brothers, where he worked in the Tech M&A group, covering clients in the software, hardware, aerospace and defense industries.

Song holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BSE in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University. He is a Kauffman Fellow (Class 14), where he was the first secondaries investor admitted to the Fellowship.
