Eugene Toastmaster Named Club Growth Director

PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- District 7 Toastmasters serving Oregon and Southwest Washington has appointed John Rodke as Club Growth Director for the remainder of the one-year term that began July 1.

My plan is to bolster that effort by infusing creative and supportive energy to keep people engaged and growing. Rodke, an entrepreneur and principal at Cre8 Daily LLC in Eugene, holds the title of Distinguished Toastmaster, the organization's highest educational award. He joined Toastmasters in 2010 in New Mexico shortly after graduating from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He credits Toastmasters with transforming him from a shy, nervous, hand-wringer with a terrible stutter and overuse of "likes" when talking with women or bosses to a confident manager, teacher, storyteller and leader.
