Events.com Selected as Official Registration Partner for Across the Lake Swim, Canada's Largest and Oldest Open Water Swim
SAN DIEGO, Sept. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Events.com, a leading global event management platform, announced that Across the Lake Swim (ATLS), Canada's largest and oldest open water swim, has chosen Events.com as its official registration partner.
The 2019 Across the Lake Swim will mark the event's 71st consecutive year, taking place in Kelowna, BC on July 20, 2019. Renowned by swimmers of all ages and levels, the event has always been more of a bucket list item than a race. Swimmers will challenge themselves by swimming 2.1 kilometers (1.3 miles) across Okanagan Lake.
With a cap set at 1,500 swimmers, the event will have 12 waves with a maximum of 125 swimmers each, with swimmers of similar abilities grouped together. At least 50 lifeguards will be on duty. With the 2018 swim hitting a new record of swimmers, the 2019 event is expected to sell out quickly.

Across the Lake Swim Society
