
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Eventus, a leading provider of comprehensive, at-scale trade surveillance and financial risk solutions, announced that Jay Biondo has joined the firm as Head of Product & Regulatory Affairs. In the newly combined role, Biondo will lead product strategy and the roadmap for Eventus' Validus platform while serving as the company's senior voice on regulatory affairs.
Reporting to Eventus CEO Cameron Routh, Biondo has more than 25 years of experience in financial regulation and enforcement, legal and trade surveillance roles, most recently as Head of Surveillance at Trading Technologies (TT). He is based in the Chicago area.

A recognized voice in the industry on market manipulation trends, regulatory enforcement and surveillance technology, Biondo spent nearly nine years at TT, assuming the position of Head of Surveillance in 2019 after joining as Product Manager-Surveillance in 2017. In that role, he led design and strategy for the trade surveillance offering. Biondo previously served as Director of Surveillance Products Design and General Counsel at Neurensic, which TT acquired in 2017. From 2013 to 2016, Biondo was Chief Compliance Officer at Allston Trading, a proprietary trading firm and previously was Associate Compliance Officer and Counsel for Infinium Capital Management.
From 2008 to 2011, Biondo served as a Regulatory Analyst II in the NYSE Arca Regulation department at FINRA, a self-regulatory organization for the securities industry. From 2006 to 2008, he was an enforcement attorney for the Illinois Secretary of State Securities Department. He began his career at two Chicago law firms.
Biondo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Lake Forest College, a Juris Doctor degree from the John Marshall Law School and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Financial Services from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.
