SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Everbright Health, a tech-enabled services platform that helps mental health providers deliver advanced interventions as part of everyday care, today announced its company launch with a $7 million seed investment and partnerships with over 75 providers across seven markets.
According to data from the National Institute of Health, nearly 60 million people in the U.S. live with a mental illness, and more than 15 million experience serious mental illness (SMI). Mental health care has historically relied on only medications and talk therapy to treat patients, but up to half of people affected by mental illness don't get better with standard care.
Everbright supports mental health providers, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists, who want an integrated approach to care for their patients, where advanced treatments can be combined with medications and talk therapy to personalize care and dramatically improve outcomes for even the hardest-to-treat patients.
"Mental health care has made real progress in expanding access to therapy and medications," said Ben Kuhn, Co-founder and CEO at Everbright Health. "But for millions of people, they need more. We're building a future where every mental health provider can deliver a full spectrum of care, including advanced interventions that many patients need to get better."
The company is initially focused on expanding access to Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and SPRAVATO®, two advanced treatments for depression and other serious conditions. While these treatments are FDA-approved, up to twice as effective as standard treatments, and broadly covered by insurance, over 90% of eligible patients have not received them because most mental health providers lack the specialized infrastructure needed to deliver these treatments effectively. This leaves these life-changing treatments out of reach for many patients and communities.
Everbright's end-to-end platform provides everything mental health providers need to embed TMS, SPRAVATO®, and other advanced interventions as new service lines within their practice:
- Clinical infrastructure – Specialized equipment and trained staff
- Tech platform – AI-enabled solutions to identify eligible patients, enhance patient activation, and assist with complex prior authorizations
- Operational management – Complete management of patient eligibility, enrollment, prior authorization, treatment delivery, billing, and compliance workflows
"Everbright made it possible for us to offer treatments we had long known about but weren't equipped to deliver," said Richard Connell, CEO of Oria Health, a 31-provider mental health practice in Central Texas. "They bring a turnkey model that fits into our existing practice, so our patients get access to more treatment options and a truly integrated care experience."
Everbright was incubated by W Health Ventures and received its seed investment of $7 million from W Health Ventures and Sanos Capital, two investment firms focused on building generational healthcare companies.
"We're bullish on tech-enabled, asset-light management services organizations. This model makes it possible to build genuine partnerships with clinicians rather than compete with or employ them. When we couldn't find one in psychiatry, we built it ourselves," said Dr. Pankaj Jethwani, Managing Partner at W Health Ventures. "Advanced psychiatric interventions are on the cusp of becoming mainstream care. With remarkable outcomes, we believe they are poised to have their own 'GLP-1' moment for market adoption."
