Everest College - Santa Ana Introduces Course Offerings to Enhance Students' Career Prospects

SANTA ANA, Calif., Nov. 22, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Everest College today announced that the Santa Ana campus has expanded its course offerings to include programs in Medical Administrative Assistant and Pharmacy Technician training.  The school has begun enrolling students in each program, with each taking approximately eight months to complete.  

The new programs provide students with the tools, ethics and basic knowledge to be trained professionals in fields that require expertise.  Through instruction and hands-on training, students learn and develop a number of skills to prepare themselves for careers in industries that hire well-trained professionals.

Medical Administrative Assistant training includes instruction in the basic principles of accounting, computer applications, medical terminology, medical law and ethics, communications and medical transcription. Pharmacy Technician courses include training in pharmacy safety, pharmaceutical calculations, anatomy and physiology, digestive, respiratory and reproductive systems, nutrition, medical terminology, pharmacology and health care system.

The Santa Ana campus, which is located at 500W. Santa Ana Blvd., already offers courses in Massage Therapy, Medical Assistant and Medical Insurance Billing and Coding.  Construction for the 37,109-square-foot facility has been completed and features interactive classroom technology, including Wi-Fi, laptops and SMART boards. The number of student, faculty and staff are expected to reach full capacity of approximately 800 students and 100 faculty and staff by 2013.
