NEW YORK, Oct. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Megan Driscoll, Founder and CEO of EvolveMKD, a public relations agency focused on beauty, health and wellness brands, presented a $20,000 check to Michele, a mother of two, and victim of domestic violence who appeared on the March 10, 2015 episode of The Doctors appealing for surgery to repair the damage her boyfriend caused when he bit her nose off.
On the segment of The Doctors that aired today, Michele revealed her new face for the first time. Dr. Andrew Ordon, plastic surgeon and co-host of The Doctors, along with his partner, Dr. Ritu Chopra, performed three, complex pro-bono surgeries to rebuild her nose and face. Due to this tragedy, Michele has been unable to work and was facing eviction. The donation from EvolveMKD, paired with her surgical reconstruction, helped get Michele back on her feet and move on with her life.
