EVOTEK Enters the Media and Entertainment Market, Appoints Rick Soto

SAN DIEGO, July 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- EVOTEK (www.evotek.com), the nation's premier enabler of digital business, announced today the appointment of Rick Soto, as Media and Entertainment IT Strategist. Rick will be building and leading the EVOTEK Media and Entertainment practice, focusing on the complex business problems within this specialized vertical. In his new post, Rick will be driving long-term strategy and managing day-to-day operations.

With over 25 year's experience, Soto has been instrumental in running large, complex business. He most recently served as vice president of engineering for MelroseTEC, a division of MelroseINC where he led a team of engineers focused on technologies for production infrastructures such as: storage infrastructures, network security compliance, nearline and archive solutions, DAM and MAM components, digital distribution, encoding, transcoding, VFX, QC and editorial. Prior, Soto was vice president of worldwide production IT and engineering for Deluxe Media where he was responsible for all global technology and infrastructure which powered the multitude of workflows including post production and digital supply chain. He also held leadership positions at Univision, EMI Music and Prudential Insurance. Soto holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
