Exer More Than Urgent Care Opens 10th Facility And Expands Medical Services To Canyon Country

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Exer More Than Urgent Care opened a highly-anticipated medical center on Soledad Canyon Road near CA-14 Exit 11, as part of a partnership with Facey Medical Group to expand medical services in the Santa Clarita Valley.  With ten locations in Southern California, Exer staffs each facility it operates with ER Doctors and provides patients with more comprehensive medical services than typical urgent care centers.

Exer Canyon Country is located on-site at a new, 37,000-square-foot medical office building which houses Facey's primary care physicians, specialists and an expanded eye care center. Facey is an affiliate of Providence Health & Services, which for three years has partnered with Exer to expand in areas served by Providence hospitals and physician clinics.

In California, nearly one-third of all ER visits are not considered to be true medical emergencies and providers are looking for new ways to help patients access quality care, reduce costs and minimize wait times. Mahan says through collaboration with local hospitals and health systems, Exer is able to help ease the burden felt by local emergency departments while also increasing access to the care people want, when they need it most. 

With on-site services such as X-Ray, IV, Lab, Splinting, Laceration Rooms, Diagnostics and other services, each Exer location is equipped to handle 80 percent of the cases seen daily in a local Emergency Room with minimal waiting and for a fraction of the price. 

In addition to Canyon Country, Exer operates centers in Stevenson Ranch, Pasadena, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Newbury Park, Northridge and Sherman Oaks. Each facility is open seven days-a-week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with little-to-no waiting and last patients are registered daily at 8:30 p.m. Exer accepts most PPOs, most HMOs, Medicare and offers affordable payment options for those with minimal or no health insurance.

A company spokesman confirmed plans are underway to open more Exer locations in Southern California later this year.
