Exide to Unveil Battery Innovations at AAPEX 2018
Exide's new EFB Technology answers the need for higher performing batteries for the premium market segment at a more competitive price point
LAS VEGAS, Oct. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Exide Technologies (www.exide.com) will unveil the latest in battery technology to power the needs of consumers and their vehicles at the AAPEX 2018 show in Las Vegas, Oct. 30 – Nov. 1. Show attendees will see Exide's first-to-market Enhanced Flooded Battery (EFB) product line, which includes Marathon® EFB for automotive and Nautilus® EFB for marine applications. Exide's EFB line is coming to North America for the first time in a series of rollouts following the show.

Exide's automotive Marathon EFB provides added heat protection and delivers two times the cycle life of a standard flooded product with a higher charge acceptance over the life of the battery. Marathon has the same 4-year warranty as Exide's AGM product, Marathon Max, at a more competitive price point. Exide's Nautilus EFB is equipped with a maintenance-free design and offers improved cycling and greater durability to meet the increasing electrical demands in modern marine applications. Nautilus is backed by an industry-leading 2-year warranty.
In addition to bringing EFB to the North American aftermarket, Exide is transforming batteries from the inside out with its new state-of-the-art LifeGrid™ technology and ErgoLock™ cover design. LifeGrid is at the heart of every Exide flooded battery and improves battery performance with consistent power and enhanced durability. ErgoLock features a flat-top design, which provides superior leak resistance, and a strong integrated ergonomic handle for easy installation and portability.
