WINCHESTER, Mass., Sept. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Looking for a way to settle into fall with more energy and a better outlook?
California-based Qi Gong master Lee Holden will offer a workshop "Vitality Through the Ages: The Wisdom & Practice of Qi Gong at Every Stage of Life," October 26 and 27 in Winchester.
Learn how to add years to your life AND "life to your years" with the simple yet powerful movements of Qi Gong (Resembling a cross between gentle yoga & Tai Chi). Whether participants are in their teens, 90's or anywhere in between, this ancient Taoist practice will help them to tap into their vital energy, energizing their body, calming their mind and lifting their spirit.
It takes place at The Winchester Unitarian Society, 478 Main Street, Winchester, MA. The schedule is as follows: Introduction workshop on Friday, October 26 from 7-9pm, and a daylong workshop on October 27 from 9:30-5pm.
Practiced by millions of people worldwide, Qi Gong is an approachable mind/body exercise form combining gentle stretches, strengthening postures and flowing movements. In addition to toning and stretching the body, Qi Gong helps to relieve stress, boost the immune, respiratory and cardiovascular systems and increase the body's innate healing abilities.
Says Holden, whose Qi Gong programs air regularly on PBS,"Qi Gong is easy to learn and assimilate, with immediate benefits to your life, whether you are an athlete, a corporate mogul, a senior or a teen."
The workshop will include:
- Gentle movements accessible to nearly everyone
- Lectures and discussion
- Guided meditations/visualizations
The fee is $35 for Friday evening introduction, $150 for Saturday's day-long workshop or $175 for both. Space is limited to 20 participants. Pre-registration is required to secure a spot. To register visit HoldenQiGong.com or contact Deb Bennett at 413-854-1398; firstname.lastname@example.org.
