The mobile cloud is becoming a vital component to many organizations' overarching business strategies. According to a 2010 Juniper Research study, Mobile Cloud Applications & Services: Monetizing Enterprise & Consumer Markets 2009-2014, the total market for cloud-based mobile applications is expected to rise from a little more than $400 million in 2009 to nearly $9.5 billion by 2014, increasing an average of 88 percent annually. Approximately 75 percent of this market was represented by enterprise users.
