Express Scripts HealthBridge Pharma & Biotech to Provide Exclusive Specialty Pharmacy Services and Limited Distribution Services for Solesta®

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CuraScript, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Express Scripts, Inc., is now the exclusive specialty pharmacy for patients using Solesta®, a product of Oceana Therapeutics Inc., under an agreement announced today. Part of Express Scripts HealthBridge Pharma & Biotech services, CuraScript SD Specialty Distribution will be one of two national distributors responsible for delivering Solesta to healthcare providers.

Solesta is the only nonsurgical treatment approved by the Food and Drug Administration for patients who fail conservative therapy for fecal (bowel) incontinence. A biocompatible tissue-bulking agent, Solesta is an injectable gel administered in an outpatient setting without the need for anesthesia. Oceana Therapeutics has exclusive rights to market, sell and distribute Solesta, a registered trademark of the international medical device company Q-Med AB.
