Extending Modeling and Simulation to Support Marine Corps Fleet Sustainment

AUSTIN, Texas, April 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Clockwork, a global leader of predictive analytics solutions for enterprise asset management (EAM), announced the company will begin the second phase of support to Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) System Engineering, Interoperability, Architectures and Technology (SIAT).  MCSC SIAT is working with the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) and Clockwork to extend modeling and simulation technology in the acquisition and sustainment of Marine Corps fleets.  Together MCSC SIAT, GTRI and Clockwork have taken the Framework for Assessing Cost and Technology (FACT) project to a new level.

Clockwork was selected by MCSC SIAT in 2011 to support the FACT project.  The project brings new capability to MCSC--beyond conventional application of modeling and simulation. As part of the FACT Team, Clockwork provides high-resolution predictive modeling of reliability, maintenance, and availability scenarios allowing FACT team members to evaluate decisions and their impact using Should Cost-Will Cost criteria.
