POTTSVILLE, Pa., July 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- EXTOL International, a leading provider of automated business integration software and services, successfully carried momentum from a strong 2011 close into the new year to generate record sales in the first half of 2012, according to mid-year growth figures released today.
Continued widespread acceptance and demand for its flagship EXTOL Business Integrator (EBI 2.5) solution, which automates cloud, B2B, application and data integration activities, helped EXTOL increase its software revenue by 39 percent from last year at this time. The company additionally released enhanced versions of its EDI Integrator for i external transaction management solution, and EXTOL Secure Exchange (ESX) software which leverages advanced encryption to safeguard AS2 communications.
In addition to its solid software growth, EXTOL increased its managed services revenue to a total 50 percent higher than in June 2011.
"As the B2B integration space is still hesitant to fully move to the cloud, managed services emerged as a trusted alternative enabling businesses to see if the cloud is right for them, without losing day-to-day functionality," said Tony Baran, president and CEO of EXTOL. "This exceptional start to the year highlights the dedication of our team to develop and provide first-class software and services that fulfill a wide range of customer integration needs, whether on-site or in the cloud, and we look forward to achieving even greater successes in the second half of 2012."
Additional highlights from EXTOL's successful start to 2012 include:
- An Expanding Customer Roster: Burlington Coat Factory is among several prominent retailers that have turned to EBI for improved integration management this year. EXTOL additionally expanded its service offerings to multiple current customers, most notably working with Citizen Watch to add EBI to its solution suite.
- Security Certified: For the eighth consecutive year, EXTOL's ESX encryption and authentication solution received AS2 Interoperable certification from the Drummond Group.
- Collaboration for Integration: EXTOL successfully conducted its annual EXTOL University customer education forum May 21-24, including the completion and release of findings from its second annual Customer Cloud Survey gauging EXTOL users' perceptions and use of cloud computing for integration activities.
