Extraco Banks Surprises Customers for National Make Your Dream Come True Day

WACO, Texas, Jan. 14, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of national Make Your Dream Come True Day, Extraco Banks hosted Dream Day in which $8,000 was distributed to make dreams come true for some special bank customers.

Long-time Extraco customer David Ezzell, an eighth-grade math and algebra teacher at Midway Independent School District, was surprised with a $250 check to help make some of his dreams come true. In 2018, Ezzell won Midway ISD's Middle School Teacher of the Year Award and attended the Teacher Innovator Institute hosted in Washington, D.C. at the National Air and Space Museum. He works to foster enrichment, build mathematical fluency, and promote problem solving across all disciplines in his classroom. After realizing there was a lack of STEM activities geared toward youth, Ezzell established a STEM mentorship program for middle school girls.

"2018 was a very memorable year for me; not only was I awarded Middle School Teacher of the Year and accomplished other professional goals, but I got engaged to the love of my life.
