EY Global Life Sciences Center Announces New Appointments to Its Leadership Team

BOSTON, Jan. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The EY Global Life Sciences Center today announced several new appointments, including global leaders for each of the four EY service lines, Assurance, Tax, Transaction and Advisory services.

As part of these new appointments, the Global Life Sciences Center also announced that John Celentano has been named a Senior Advisor for the Center.  Mr. Celentano's over 30-year career includes extensive leadership experience in a variety of functions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, including as President of its Healthcare Group, which included the non-pharmaceutical businesses Mead Johnson Nutrition, ConvaTec and Medical Imaging. In this role, Mr. Celentano led the successful IPO of Mead Johnson and the spin out and sale of ConvaTec. In his new position advising EY, Mr. Celentano will draw on his broad industry experience to advise EY member firm clients and sector teams on a variety of strategic and transformational business issues.

The Global Life Sciences Center also announced today the appointment of the following global service line leaders:

• Scott Bruns will continue his role of Global Life Sciences Assurance Services Leader. Mr. Bruns has advised a range of global public and private clients, with particular expertise in technical accounting issues in the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology industries.  In particular, Scott has significant experience with US SEC and international financial reporting standards, and assisting companies in the structuring and execution of public offerings, acquisitions, equity investments and joint ventures.
• Mitchell Cohen has been named Global Life Sciences Tax Services Leader.  Mr. Cohen's extensive experience serving life sciences companies includes corporate and partnership taxation, transaction tax strategy and planning, tax risk and compliance and research tax credits, as well as the tax processes, systems and accounting methods specific to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Mr. Cohen also presently serves as tax coordinating partner for several leading global pharmaceutical clients of Ernst & Young LLP in the US.
• Jeffrey Greene will continue to serve as Global Life Sciences Transactions Advisory Services Leader, supporting EY firm clients on a variety of divestitures, acquisitions, financings and restructurings. A highly-knowledgeable advisor in the areas of strategic valuation, portfolio management, solvency, and performance measurement, Mr. Greene's prior roles include EY Global Vice Chair—Corporate Finance, Director, Corporate Finance and Valuation for Ernst & Young LLP, and EY Americas Markets Leader for Divestitures.
• Kimberly Ramko has been appointed Global Life Science Advisory Services Leader. In this role Ms. Ramko will focus on service innovation, alliance management, and helping to implement large, complex business transformations. Kim will continue in her role as EY Americas Advisory Life Sciences Industry Sector Leader. Ms. Ramko has extensive consulting experience with life sciences companies focused in the areas of business intelligence and analytics, health informatics, commercial operations and master data management.
