National optical retailer known for same-day, affordably priced eyewear enters the market, beginning with a Sept. 8 opening in Conroe
HOUSTON, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Eyemart Express, one of the nation's largest optical retailers, is entering the Greater Houston market for the first time, with a store opening in Conroe on Sept. 8. Located at 1302 W. Davis St., it is the first of four stores the company will open in the area by year's end. For many families, the cost of new glasses is often a barrier to seeing clearly. The Houston openings build on Eyemart Express' established presence across Texas, where the company already operates 42 stores. Each new location will hire a team of opticians, lab technicians, and retail associates. Additional locations will be announced in the weeks ahead as each opening approaches.

Eyemart Express operates a lens lab inside every store, allowing customers to walk away with carefully crafted, quality glasses received within an hour. Because each store operates an on-site lens lab, most shoppers can wear their new glasses home on the same day they purchase them rather than waiting a week or more for glasses to arrive.
