Eyemart Express Teams Up with "The Jennifer Hudson Show" to Surprise Teachers

The national optical retailer helps educators see a brighter future for students with impactful donations

In two episodes that aired in September, host Jennifer Hudson recognized each teacher on-air and presented them with a collection of glasses and an impactful donation, ranging from $5,000 to $10,000, to use toward classroom resources, supplies, and interactive experiences for their students.

The on-air surprises reinforced Eyemart Express' commitments to making a difference in local communities through clear vision and ensuring teachers feel truly seen for their dedication and sacrifices to improve the futures of young people.

Next, Adrienne White is another selfless teacher honored by Eyemart Express and The Jennifer Hudson Show. Teaching at a Title I school in Athens, Georgia, she goes above and beyond for her students, from washing their hair at school to taking them to doctors' appointments to providing her students with food, clothes, and school supplies. She and her husband even adopted one of her students who was facing homelessness after his grandmother passed away.

With the costs of school supplies on the rise and demands on educators growing nationwide, the Eyemart Express donations will enable each teacher to bring their classroom vision to life.
