Facebook's Dan Rose To Keynote At MIPCOM

Aug 23, 2013, 08:08 ET from Reed MIDEM

PARIS, Aug. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MIPCOM announces today that Facebook's Vice President, Partnerships, Dan Rose will give a keynote address on Monday 7 October as part of MIPCOM's Media Mastermind Keynote Series. Organised by Reed MIDEM, MIPCOM will take place in Cannes, France, from 7-10 October 2013.

Each night in the U.S., between 88 and 100 million people visit Facebook and many of them are talking about TV. As more and more people turn to social media to discuss what they are watching on TV – including more than one billion monthly active users on Facebook – broadcasters and content creators are thinking more strategically about how they engage with their audiences on different platforms.

In his MIPCOM address, Dan Rose will share his insights on how key players in the industry are leveraging the power of social media. He will explore new opportunities for producers and broadcasters in terms of driving viewer loyalty and retention and influencing TV ratings. Rose will discuss the impact that word-of-mouth at scale is having on the television industry and how broadcasters can tap into this phenomenon in meaningful ways.

Dan Rose is the Vice President of Partnerships at Facebook. Dan is globally responsible for Facebook's mobile partnerships, platform developer relations, business development, M&A and user operations. Dan joined Facebook in 2006 after seven years at Amazon.com where he held various positions in business development and general management.
