Fairmount Soccer Association, Philadelphia City FC, and United Philly Soccer Club Unite to Form Inter Philly (Philadelphia International Football Club)

PHILADELPHIA, March 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- In an exciting new chapter for youth soccer in Philadelphia, Fairmount Soccer Association, Philadelphia City FC, and United Philly Soccer Club are joining forces to create Inter Philly (Philadelphia International Football Club). This unification will combine the strengths and legacies of the three clubs, forming a single entity aimed at further developing young talent and the sport of soccer in the City of Brotherly Love.

Background on the three legacy clubs that now make up Inter Philly:

• Fairmount Soccer Association has been a cornerstone in the development of Philadelphia's youth soccer for over 30 years, creating an inclusive environment for players of all skill levels.
• Philadelphia City FC, previously known as Palumbo Soccer Club, has been committed to player development and community engagement for more than 20 years.
• United Philly Soccer Club has built a strong reputation over the last eight years by offering competitive soccer pathways for youth players, with an emphasis on high school and collegiate development.

Through combining resources, talent, and expertise, Inter Philly will offer:

• Expanded Competition: The new organization will provide more opportunities for players by offering a range of teams at every age and skill level. This merger will help provide competitive travel opportunities to a larger number of young athletes across the city.
• Exceptional Coaching Staff: Inter Philly will unite some of the best soccer coaches in the region, many of whom have college or professional playing experience. These coaches will also guide players through the college recruitment process.
• Enhanced Facilities: The expanded club will provide players with access to top-tier training facilities across the Greater Philadelphia area, ensuring the best possible development environments.
• Stronger Recreational Programs: Inter-Philly's recreational soccer offerings will be more robust, with programs for children as young as two years old, all the way through high school, including camps, leagues, and training sessions throughout the region.

What This Means for Players
Starting in the Fall 2025 season, all current players from Fairmount Soccer Association, Philadelphia City FC, and United Philly Soccer Club will come together under the new club identity. Tryouts for the Fall 2025 season will take place in March and April 2025. Existing players will remain with their current teams until the end of the Spring 2025 season.
