If we forget, a scroll through Twitter will quickly remind us: at least one in four women have been sexually assaulted in their lifetimes, and at least one in six men. These are just the reported cases. This is just what we know.
These are U.S. statistics, and they're terrible. But they're exponentially higher in Iran.
Almost no woman in Iran reaches adulthood without first experiencing profound abuse.
Jesus sees every blade of grass in the field and knows exactly how many hairs are on your head. And He knows exactly how many people have been abused, assaulted, and taken advantage of. He knows where they were, who did it to them, and what the trauma has done to them ever since. And He is the "avenger of all such things" (1 Thessalonians 4:6).
