DOVER, N.J., Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- With Daylight Saving Time (DST) taking place on Sunday, November 4th at 2:00 a.m., Casio America, Inc. makes the time change stress-free with its EDIFICE Connected timepieces. The Smartphone Link Connectivity of the Company's EDIFICE Connected timepieces, like the EQB501XBR-1A and EQB800BR-1A, help users easily navigate seasonal and time zone changes whether at home or travelling.
Smartphone Link Connectivity
The EDIFICE EQB501XBR-1A and EQB800BR-1A Connected timepieces feature Casio's Smartphone Link capability, which pairs with the wearer's smartphone with the simple press of the dedicated Bluetooth® connection button. By downloading the CASIO WATCH+ app and connecting to a compatible smartphone via Bluetooth® SMART, the Bluetooth® enabled EDIFICE Timepieces can access the correct time for the current location and for over 300 cities worldwide, even updating with the latest time zone and Daylight Saving Time information. Users also have the capability to swap their specified home time and world time with the press of a button, as well as update alarms and other time settings. EDIFICE Connected Timepieces also have improved accuracy by automatically syncing, via phone, to a time server on the internet four times a day or they can be synced by a one-push reset to ensure ultimate accuracy.
Tough Solar Power
Additionally, Casio's Tough Solar Power ensures your EDIFICE Timepiece continues working without the need for a battery change. A solar panel system converts light to electricity and can even be charged in low or fluorescent light. After a full-charge and without further exposure to light, the timepiece has a battery life of approximately five months. A special power save feature conserves energy by enabling the timepiece to power down when not exposed to light, which can extend the battery life to nearly two years.
Both models are water resistant up to 100 meters and offer world time, a daily alarm and stopwatch. Additionally, the EQB800BR-1A comes equipped with a full auto calendar and best lap indicator. Casio's EDIFICE EQB501XBR-1A (MSRP $320) and EQB800BR-1A (MSRP $350) are available now at select jewelry and watch retailers nationwide.
