Fall Fellowship Kicks off at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale with Annual Rally Day Celebration
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale (First Pres), 401 SE 15 Ave., will kick off the fall season by hosting its annual Rally Day celebration on Sunday, September 13, 2015. Members and non-members are invited to partake in the celebration, which will include worship with Communion in their newly renovated Sanctuary, full choirs and a brass quartet, table displays from the church's ministries, complementary brunch and lunch, and more family-friendly activities.

"Our Rally Day is one of our most anticipated events because it marks the beginning of our fall season and the unveiling of all our new programming," said Rev. Dr. Russ Ritchel, Transitional Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale. "It is the perfect way for our members to see what is coming for the season and for people new to the church to learn about all that First Pres has to offer."
For Rally Day, Tarpon Drive will be blocked off to allow guests to explore the display tables and activity tents on the First Pres campus in between worship services from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. The tables will feature displays from several of the church ministries and programs, including the Adult Activity Center, Adult Education Ministry, Women's Ministry, Happyland Day School, Youth Ministry and Missions Ministry. The tents will feature kid-friendly activities including a petting zoo and a balloon-animal station.
"We are especially looking forward to unveiling all the improvements we have made to our campus over the last six months," said Ritchel. "We will welcome our congregants back to the renovated Sanctuary for our 11 a.m. Traditional worship service with a special communion and performances from the Kirk Singers youth choir and the Cathedral Choir."
