Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, the #1 resort on Florida's Emerald Coast, and the Village of Baytowne Wharf announced plans for their seventh annual Baytowne Beer Festival on Oct. 17-18.

Known as the "Best Beer Fest on the Emerald Coast", the festival will have opportunities to discover and sample specialty beers from around the nation. The charming Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin will be the perfect backdrop for fun-in-the-sun during the traditionally beautiful month of October.

The Baytowne Beer Festival will feature a wide range of beers varying in strength and style. From light pale ales and rich dark stouts to a number of bottled and yet-to-be-released fall beers - beer aficionados and novices will be able to savor the best in sudsy selections.

New This Year

• A Beer Bingo event on Friday evening in the Village.
• A VIP event will take place Saturday, Oct. 18 prior to the tasting.
• New craft beers and different selections from past years will be featured at the Grand Beer Tasting.

Friday, October 17
The first Beer Bingo event will take place in the Village from 6-9:30 p.m. Guests can join the fun by visiting merchants until they have completing a BINGO card. At 9 p.m. all cards will be turned in for a chance to win great prizes; such as a YOLO board, Grizzly cooler, free fly board session from Power Up Sports, Adventure Zone gift card and more.

Saturday, October 18
The Saturday VIP event will feature exclusive beer tastings, BBQ and a signature beer glass from 12-2 p.m. This ticket is all inclusive for Saturday's events and guests receive express entry into the grand tasting. Additional details will be released in the coming weeks.

From 2-6 p.m., the Village will transform into a taster's paradise with tents and nearly 200 domestic and international beers from more than 40 on-site craft brewers. A sample of the brewing companies featured at this year's festival includes: Blue Point Brewery, Kona Brewing Company, Grayton Beer Company, Woodchuck Ciders, Sweetwater Brewery, Back Forty Beer Company and many more. Brewery representatives will be available to discuss the different types of lagers and ales, teaching about the variety of styles.

Native Run, who recently finished touring with multi Grammy award winning Lady Antebellum, will provide live entertainment from the Event Plaza from 4-6 p.m.

Saturday's Beer Tasting tickets are on sale for a reduced price of $25 per person until Oct. 17 and VIP tickets are on sale for $55. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event for $30 and special pricing for groups is also available. Guests are advised to purchase tickets early, for the event has sold out in past years.
