Fambot Launches AI "Chief of Staff" for Families, Turning the Chaos of Family Logistics into a Clear Daily Plan
Dad of 3 and former Uber Executive David Reich is bringing school emails, calendars, WhatsApp messages, and activity updates into one clear daily plan, launching Fambot with more than 1,000 families and $3.5 million in pre-seed funding
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Fambot, an AI "chief of staff" for families designed to simplify the logistics of family life, launched today with more than 1,000 families on the platform. The company is also announcing $3.5 million in pre-seed funding co-led by NextView Ventures and Baukunst, with participation from Correlation Ventures, Karman Ventures, and Founders Network. Founded by Uber, Instagram and Google alumni David Reich, Greg Karlin and Jason Morrow—Fambot reads school-related emails, newsletters, calendar invites and group chats — so that parents don't have to — then sends a daily summary via text message with everything they need to know, do and decide.
Parents today are managing an unprecedented amount of information across school communications, calendars, WhatsApp groups, activity apps, and last-minute schedule changes. Reich experienced this firsthand as a dad of three, receiving more than 40 kid-related emails every week while also juggling 10 different WhatsApp groups, sports schedules and apps, school and medical appointments, and countless other family communications. None of it is particularly complicated on its own, but taken together it can feel like a second job. From 12-page school newsletters with 10–20 different actions buried inside to daily schedule changes and endless follow-ups, parents can spend an hour or more every day simply managing the logistics of family life.
"What we expect a working parent to get done on any given day is impossible. Not kind of hard — literally impossible. If AI can write code and run businesses, it should be able to handle permission slips and practice schedules too. Success for us isn't how many features we ship or how much time people spend in the app — it's whether parents feel lighter, more confident, and more present with their kids," said David Reich, Fambot CEO and Founder.
Fambot connects to the places where family information already lives — email (including Gmail, Outlook, and Hotmail), calendars and WhatsApp groups — learns what matters to each family, and proactively delivers a clear daily plan by text each evening. With Fambot's Shared Family Account, both parents receive the same daily digest and can assign to-dos and events to each other, helping ensure the day-to-day coordination doesn't fall on one person by default. Families can also chat with Fambot through text message or in the app and hand off tasks the way they would to a real assistant.
Fambot goes beyond just organizing information. If an email announces a field trip on Friday, Fambot can pull out the permission slip, chaperone sign-up, lunch requirement, and bus departure time, then surface each detail when it's actually needed. This proactive approach gives parents the support of a family assistant without asking them to manage yet another system.
"For years, families have been expected to manage an extraordinary amount of complexity with tools that were never designed for the job. AI changes what's possible. Fambot is building a new kind of infrastructure for family life, one that can understand the context of a family's day-to-day life and actually help manage it. We're thrilled to back David and the Fambot team as they bring this vision to life," added Kate McAndrew, Co-Founder and General Partner of Baukunst.
"43 million families in the US have kids under 16, and every one of them is navigating the increasingly complex logistics of family life. Fambot is building for a massive, everyday need: helping parents stay on the same page in the never-ending bombardment of school and family-related information. We jumped at the opportunity to back David and the Fambot team as they build a new category at the intersection of AI and the everyday economy," said Stephanie Palmeri, NextView Partner.
Fambot launches with more than 1,000 families already using the platform and $3.5 million in pre-seed funding. With its AI-powered approach to family logistics, the company is building toward a future where managing the day-to-day of family life doesn't feel like a second job. The goal is fewer, more streamlined systems that support more confident, present parents. For more information and to download Fambot on iOS or Android, visit www.fambot.com. Fambot is currently free while in beta.
