Family Festivities Packed with Healthy Fun for the Whole Family this Saturday - 8/2/14!
FRISCO, Texas, July 28, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Healthy Hometown, Centennial Medical Center's annual health fair, is slated to be one of their largest on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at 12505 Lebanon Rd. in Frisco at Highway 121 at Coit Rd.
Fun activities are planned that will encourage health and wellness in the community including free food, games, prizes and healthy cooking and exercise demos. Vendors will be available to answer health-related questions and to provide entertainment for all ages.
To get ready for a happy, healthy year, school-aged children will receive a free backpack and will be able to gather school supplies from the vendors' booths. A bouncy castle will provide additional entertainment.
Parents will enjoy free health screenings such as cholesterol, blood pressure, bone density scans and more. Physicians from different practices in the community will be available to discuss health questions.
Frisco's hometown heroes, the policemen, firemen and physicians, will be on hand to talk to children and give tours of emergency vehicles. Medical helicopter tours will also be given.
Along with the Healthy Hometown fun that is planned, Centennial Medical Center will be celebrating their 10th Anniversary with treats for everyone.
Healthy Hometown is expecting a great turnout this year from 1500 to 3000 people coming for this day of free family fun activities. Plan to come on August 2 with the whole family for a great celebration of healthy living.
