Family Launches Nationwide Search to Find Brothers Abducted During Los Angeles Visit
BELLEVUE, Wash., Sept. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The parents of two boys believed to have been abducted by their noncustodial mother have launched a nationwide search to bring them home. Sage Cook, 14, and Isaac Cook, 9, were last seen on Aug. 28, 2015, at Los Angeles International airport, where their mother Faye Ku picked them up for a "supervised visit." The Cook boys were due to return to their home near Seattle on Aug. 30 but never showed up for their flight.

Ku also has a 1-year-old son named Zephyr Ku, who is the missing boys' half-brother and who may be traveling with them.
The parents divorced in 2009. The boys live with their biological father, David Cook, and his wife Helen Cook in Bellevue, Wash. David Cook has full custody of the boys. The couple is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the boys' safe return. They have set up the "Help Find Sage and Isaac Cook" Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/helpfindsageandisaac to spread the word through social media, and also, hopefully, to communicate directly with Sage and Isaac.
"We want the boys to know that we love them and miss them and that we have not given up trying to find them," David Cook said.
Police in Bellevue, Wash., who are investigating the disappearance of the children, have issued an arrest warrant for Ku. She is described as a 41-year-old Asian-American female, 5'3", 180 lbs., with black hair and black eyes. Ku holds dual citizenship and carries a Taiwanese passport.
Legal documents from Washington State indicate that two years earlier, Ku had attempted to flee the country with Sage and Isaac Cook. Before the three could board a flight to Taiwan, she was arrested by Seattle airport police and charged with custodial interference. Taiwan is not a signatory of the Hague convention, which guarantees the return of children to their custodial parents in other countries.
The current investigation revealed that Ku forged the signature of an unsuspecting acquaintance to make it appear that her visit with the children would be supervised at all times. Relying on this guarantee, David Cook sent the children to California, where they were last seen.
