Farm Boy Expands Longstanding Partnership with RELEX to Scale Fresh Grocery Planning

The Canadian grocer has been a RELEX customer since 2016 and will expand planning capabilities as it continues to grow across Ontario

ATLANTA, Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- RELEX Solutions today announced that Farm Boy, the fresh-market Canadian grocery retailer, part of Empire Company Limited, has renewed and expanded its partnership, broadening the scope of its supply chain planning operations and laying the contractual foundation for Farm Boy to take advantage of future RELEX functionalities. A longstanding RELEX customer in North America, Farm Boy has used RELEX for demand forecasting, replenishment coordination, and promotions planning since 2016.

Farm Boy operates 53 stores across Ontario, with a differentiated grocery model emphasizing fresh produce, chef-prepared meals, and specialty and artisan products, supplied through two distribution centers and in-house commissaries in Ottawa and Toronto.

The renewed agreement reflects a decade of growth, run on the same planning platform. The expanded agreement gives Farm Boy the commercial and technical headroom to keep absorbing store and product growth, and positions it to adopt newer RELEX capabilities, including machine learning-based forecasting, as its priorities evolve.
