Farm Fresh To You Farm Chosen to Host Prestigious Farm to Table Dinner With "Outstanding in the Field"

CAPAY, Calif., March 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Farm Fresh To You, the CSA that delivers fresh, organic produce to your doorstep, announced today that its farm, Capay Organic, has been chosen as a dinner site for the prestigious farm to table dinner organization Outstanding in the Field.

The dinner will take place on Sun., June 24, starting at 3 p.m. Tickets go on sale through the Outstanding in the Field website (http://outstandinginthefield.com/events/north-american-tour/) on Tues., March 20, at 9 a.m. Pacific time. Chef Oliver Ridgeway of Grange Restaurant in Sacramento will be the event chef.

Outstanding in the Field describes itself as a "roving culinary adventure" with over 80 dinners throughout the country on its schedule for 2012.

"It is truly a once in a lifetime dining experience. The Capay Valley hills and our farm in summer will be the perfect backdrop for an amazing feast with Outstanding in the Field and Chef Oliver Ridgeway of Grange collaborating on a dining event that we won't soon forget. Outstanding in the Field dinners have the reputation of being a culinary milestone in your life like going to Chez Panisse or another legendary restaurant for the first time."

The dinner starts with a reception with wine and passed appetizers followed by a four-course, seated meal with wine pairings. Guests are seated at a long table for the meal composed by the guest chef in Outstanding in the Field's nomadic al fresco kitchen. Dinner is served family style (or farm style). During the meal, the local producers who provided ingredients for the menu talk about their respective crafts and diners are encouraged to ask questions. The dinner event also includes a farm tour by the host farmer. Tickets for the event are $180 per person.
