Farm Fresh To You's Donate-A-Box Program Reaches 10,000 Box Mark

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif., Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Farm Fresh To You (www.farmfreshtoyou.com), a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and home and office delivery service that provides fresh, local, organic produce to customers' doorsteps announced today that its Donate-A-Box program has reached the 10,000 box donation mark. In fall 2014, Farm Fresh To You received a USDA Local Food Promotion Program Grant of $100,000 to develop and market the Donate-A-Box program.

Farm Fresh To You has partnered with six regional food banks initially for the Donate-A-Box program: The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank, Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, SF-Marin Food Bank, Volunteers of America (VOA) Los Angeles, Westside Food Bank (Santa Monica) and Yolo Food Bank (Woodland).

The Donate-A-Box program enables Farm Fresh To You customers to donate a box of fresh produce to a regional food bank partner. Customers are prompted to donate to a food bank when they schedule a vacation hold for their box. Farm Fresh To You customers can schedule a hold on their box at any time for any reason.

In addition, the general public can also donate produce boxes to a participating food bank.
