Farmers Seek Jimmy Fallon's Presence at Wedding

HAYFIELD, Minn., July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Two brothers, Tony and Tanner Kramer, from rural Hayfield, Minnesota are behind the social media campaign to get Jimmy Fallon to attend their brother Tyler's wedding.  The determined duo are hoping to surprise Tyler and his fiancee, Krystine Svoboda, by having Jimmy Fallon help them slow jam — a Fallon trademark.  They intend to one-up Tyler, a Woodbury resident and Fallon fan who slow jammed his best man speech at Tony's wedding in 2012.

"We wanted to do something cool for the speech, so Tanner and I were thinking of ideas," said Tony. "We thought we could do a Jimmy Fallon-style slow jam speech, but that would've been copying our brother.  So we thought what if we brought Jimmy to the wedding to sing it with us?"

An Indiegogo Campaign has generated more than $4,000 in donations to support the quest. While the normal fees for Jimmy Fallon range over $300,000 – the Kramer brothers plan to solicit Jimmy with a gift to his charity if he does attend the wedding along with a chance for him to see the farm portrayed in YouTube video.

The viral video includes a funny audition of potential replacements for Jimmy Fallon that didn't work out.  The brothers also portray their hometown Hayfield, Minnesota, in a comical way, as a must see vacation destination for Jimmy.  Their pitch video also challenges Fallon to a game of "butt darts," appealing to The Tonight's Shows' competitive games often seen between Jimmy and guests. Butt Darts forces participants to clench quarters between their butt cheeks (with pants on) before the coin is shot into a cup on the ground.

The brothers have connected with representatives for Jimmy Fallon and a final answer could come as soon as early August.

"One of The Tonight Show's Producer thought they'd probably do something, but he doesn't know what yet," Tony said. "We are waiting to hear back and hopeful that he will do something for our brother and bride to be."

Though the issue remains unresolved, the Kramers are hopeful that a few local quirks will work in their favor. For one, the wedding venue on the Kramer farm includes a recreational shed that features an indoor basketball court, a theater room, arcade games and an authentic 1950s diner. Their 2,000-pig operation is located just across the gravel road and surrounded by crops.

In the event their grand idea is shot down, the fund drive will be used to send the newlyweds to see Fallon perform on "The Tonight Show" in New York, perhaps on their honeymoon.

"If there was any celebrity who would do something like this, it'd be Jimmy Fallon," Tony said. "He's interactive and … he's one of us — an average guy who became the head of 'The Tonight Show."
