Fashion Brand Next Announce the Winner of the Next Guest Blogger Competition

British brand Next are excited to announce that blogger Julia Rebaudo of stylonylon.com will be writing guest posts on the Next blog as part of their latest competition. To enter, bloggers were invited to answer one of three questions in the form of a blog post:  What key SS13 trends are you most looking forward to wearing? What are your staple pieces to take you from Winter to Spring and what would you wear them with? Or, with leather and sequins being key trends at the moment, how would you incorporate either or both into your daily wardrobe? "Spring/Summer '13 is looking like a whole lotta fun and I think I can already feel it in the air. Trendwise there's a lot to choose from - print-clashing, sports luxe, the 60s, blue, voluminous silhouettes, lace and graphic florals to name a few. Where to start?" Julia begun. She put together three moodboards of her favourite trends; monochrome, graphics and leather.

The monochrome moodboard featured a black and white peplum top, mono t-bar ballerinas, and printed cigarette pants. She explained, "You just can't go wrong with a black and white combo - it's an amazing mix of laidback cool and statement, both at the same time. So striking in its appearance, with monochrome you have a number of options - channel a 60s vibe (a strong SS13 trend) with scallops and polka dots, go wild with snow leopard print, cover your iPad with a floral laser-cut case or get all sophisticated with printed trousers and a boucle jacket- this jacket is so amazing."

For the graphic moodboard, Julia showcases the best of the graphic trends with some statement pieces that Next are loving too; especially the giraffe print pointed heels and forest print blouse. "The world's your oyster here, and you can build your outfit around your chosen graphic piece," the fashion blogger explained, "Every girl should have a NY-London-Paris cityscape tee to her name."

Finally, the leather moodboard was put together from both faux leather and real leather pieces - a key SS13 trend. "Leather is everywhere this spring and so the biker jacket will reign supreme." Julia picked the PU leather biker jacket with stylish quilting on the shoulders and asymmetric zip. Other gorgeous choices included the navy shopper, black western ankle boots and wooden wedge boots.
