Fauquier County to Open Employee Health Cottage
Marathon Health to provide onsite health services to County and Public School employees
WARRENTON, Va., Dec. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Marathon Health, LLC, a provider of onsite health centers that enables employers to optimize the health of their workforce and business, today announced a partnership with Fauquier County and Fauquier County Public Schools to provide primary and preventive care and occupational health services to more than 2,600 eligible employees and retirees. These services will be offered at the Employee Health Cottage that will be located in Warrenton, Virginia.
The partnership with Marathon Health is part of an overall effort to provide employees increased access to primary and preventive healthcare services, improve the health of their population and stabilize healthcare costs. The Employee Health Cottage, which will be staffed by a physician, nurse practitioner, two medical assistants and a practice support specialist, is scheduled to open in the spring of 2018. Services at the cottage will include workforce physicals, acute care, and wellness coaching.
