FBR Media Nominated for Three 2012 Emmy® Awards

Two episodes in FBR Media's new television series

WASHINGTON, Nov. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- FBR Media announced today two episodes from its new television series Bench to Bedside™ have been nominated for three 2012 Midsouth Emmy® Awards. "Liviya's Story" received two nominations in the documentary/cultural and director/program categories. "Laura's Story" received a nomination in the public affairs category.  Executive producers Paul McKellips and Frankie Trull, producer/director Liz Hodge and director of photography/editor Steve Dorst are nominated. FBR Media has received seven Emmy® nominations for its Bench to Bedside™ TV series.

"Liviya's Story" is the real account of a North Carolina girl named Liviya, who is battling a rare and potentially fatal blood disease called aplastic anemia, and horses that ultimately come to her rescue.  This episode features the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, the National Institutes of Health, the American Red Cross and the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League."Laura's Story" showcases cutting-edge diabetes research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, that could be a game-changer for the diabetes epidemic in the United States. 

Bench to Bedside™ is a new television series produced by FBR Media about inspirational people and animals living with serious illnesses and incredible biomedical research that could save their lives.
