DALLAS, May 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division, filed notice with the Director of the US Patent and Trademark Office that competing claims of ownership had been extinguished by dismissal.
This action comes following Judge Amos L. Mazzant, III's dismissal with prejudice of a federal lawsuit filed by Performance Pulsation Control, Inc. against multiple Defendants, including Sigma Drilling Technologies, LLC.
"There was never a question as to the rightful owner of these inventions. Sigma Drilling Technologies, LLC and Justin Manley are the inventors and therefore the rightful owners of the intellectual property at issue. We're happy that Performance Pulsation Control, Inc. finally admitted to itself that their claims were baseless so we can all move on," said attorney Greg Ziegler of Dallas-based Macdonald Devin P.C.
