Federal Signal Technologies Awarded TxDOT Back Office Operations Contract

IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Federal Signal Technologies LLC (FSTech) today announced that it has been awarded a three year back office system and operations contract by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The approximate value of the 3 year contract is $68M. The contract provides for two 3 year extensions. FSTech's major sub-contractors are Faneuil Inc., in Hampton, Virginia and Municipal Services Bureau (MSB), based in Austin, Texas.

The contract primarily involves three busy TxDOT tollroads in the Austin area. Interoperability with the separate Dallas and Houston area toll systems, plus outlying TxDOT tollroads are also covered by the work. MSB's Toll Division will be providing customer service and TxTag management, and Faneuil will be providing plaza and road operations support.
