Redesigned platform brings location intelligence, expanded records screening and faster subject setup to compliance, fraud, insider-risk and public-sector teams
EASTON, Mass., Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Ferretly International, the AI-powered social media screening company, today released a redesigned version of its platform headlined by Geospatial Footprint. The new capability maps where a subject's public social media activity places them and shows any connection to sanctioned, conflict-affected or high-risk jurisdictions.
The release extends Ferretly beyond pre-employment screening into open-source intelligence (OSINT) work. It is built for anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) programs, fraud investigations, insider-risk reviews, third-party due diligence and government vetting.
Seeing where a subject's own activity places them
Geospatial Footprint analyzes a subject's public posts, including text, images and video, to identify location events. Each event is plotted on an interactive map and rated by the strength of the location inference. Investigators can play the events back as a timeline to see where a subject has been and when.
A Jurisdiction Nexus layer then classifies those locations into three tiers: countries under U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions programs, conflict-affected regions, and jurisdictions identified by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) for weaknesses in anti-money laundering controls.
A counterparty, applicant or insider can clear every sanctions and watchlist check and still show a pattern of travel to a sanctioned jurisdiction in their own posts. Geospatial Footprint surfaces that pattern so investigators can weigh it alongside their other findings and reach their own conclusions.
Geospatial Footprint is included with Enterprise plans and available to other customers as an add-on. Inferred post locations are switched on per screening profile, apply to non-FCRA screening, and appear in the Ferretly platform rather than in the standard report.
New U.S. criminal, registry and teacher sanctions searches
Ferretly's Global Sanctions add-on screens each social media report against more than 1,000 international sources across sanctions, watchlists, regulatory registers and adverse media. Customers with Global Sanctions or an Enterprise plan can now add three optional U.S. searches:
- National criminal database search
- National sex offender registry search
- Teacher sanctions search, which identifies educators disciplined in one state who may seek work in another
Momentum behind the release
The release comes during Ferretly's strongest quarter to date. Over the past 12 months, monthly recurring revenue has grown 65%, while net revenue retention is nearly 120%. In Q3, the company added a record number of new customers and saw inbound demand rise 71% from the prior quarter. About one in five new customers now comes from outside the United States.
"Our customers are screening more people, faster, in more countries than ever," said Darrin Lipscomb, CEO of Ferretly. "This release takes that same engine into financial-crime compliance, fraud, insider-risk and government vetting. A sanctions check tells you whether a name is on a list. Geospatial Footprint shows investigators where a person's own public activity places them, and whether those places carry risk."
Availability
The redesigned platform is available now to all Ferretly customers. Geospatial Footprint and Global Sanctions are included with Enterprise plans and available to other customers as add-ons. To learn more or request a demo, visit ferretly.com.
