Fifth-Annual Month of Miracles Kicks off in August

Month-Long Celebration Serves as Reminder of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals' Vital Need for Donations

DENVER, Aug. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Every hour, 97 children undergo surgery at member Children's Miracle Network Hospitals^®(CMN Hospitals). In support of the millions of children treated each year across the U.S. and Canada, RE/MAX, LLC, and RE/MAX offices and agents are celebrating the fifth-annual RE/MAX Month of Miracles.

The month-long celebration of the RE/MAX partnership with CMN Hospitals is a time for special events and raising even more awareness about the vital need for donations at the 170 member hospitals. Last year, RE/MAX offices and agents through year-round giving raised over $9 million for local CMN Hospitals. Monies raised help fund pediatric medical equipment and treatments, healthcare services and charitable care.

During the Month of Miracles, RE/MAX offices and agents are helping spread the love in a variety of ways:

RE/MAX Headquarters' employees in metropolitan Denver are planning a craft day for pediatric patients at Children's Hospital Colorado. While there, volunteers will work with patients to create a fun arts and crafts project.
On Aug. 1, Canadian RE/MAX agent Bruce Johnson and daughter Holly embarked on their second annual Motorcycle for Miracles ride, a 5,841 mile (9,400 kilometers) trip. This year the duo plans to ride from St. John's, Newfoundland to Vancouver, British Columbia, in 31 days stopping at all 14 CMN Hospitals along the way.

Over the past 24 years, RE/MAX affiliates have donated more than $147 million to CMN Hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. As the relationship continues to thrive, RE/MAX recently unveiled a fully-upgraded, state-of-the art Miracle System in July.

The Miracle System is the online donation center designed by CMN Hospitals exclusively for RE/MAX offices and agents. Its new functionality aligns with RE/MAX affiliates' business processes and simplifies the ways they submit and manage their contributions to the local CMN Hospital after each property sale.

Although August serves as month to celebrate year-round giving and raise more awareness for CMN Hospitals, participating RE/MAX offices and agents may donate funds after each property sale through the Miracle Home and Miracle Property programs all year long. They raise additional funds through golf tournaments, sponsorships, auctions and other community events.
